August 25, 201213 yr Hi all. I've noticed a weird stutter recently. It's rhythmic, seeming to hit at one second intervals. Here's a video. You can see it as the islands pass below. At the same time, my ASI bounces in time with it, going up 10 kts or so, then back to my set speed. Magical bouncing ASI bug Fraps is registering around 45 FPS at the time. Anyone ever experienced this before? I'm using 10.10b9. If someone else is using the same beta and has the Heinz Dreamliner, could you check it out and see if you experience the same thing? I want to try to rule out the plane and/or the beta version if possible. Thanks! August 26, 201213 yr Hello ! Did you see this problem also with other planes or only with this 787 ? Georges - OpenStreetMap - Ubuntu GNU/Linux -
August 26, 201213 yr I haven't experienced any stutters with beta 9 yet, but I am using only the default hangar.... August 26, 201213 yr Author Hello ! Did you see this problem also with other planes or only with this 787 ? I did some more flying Saturday night with other planes and didn't notice it with any of them. One of those other planes is the JRollon CRJ, which I just got. It's more resource intensive than the 87, but not a stutter to be seen. Prior to Beta 9, the 787 worked fine. I'm leaning towards something in the plane not liking the latest beta. I was hoping perhaps someone else with the 787 could do a quick test. If no one else experiences it, then I'll have to dig around for other possible solutions. August 26, 201213 yr how many flight models per frame are being rendered (aircraft menu)? if 1, set to 2 or 3 and see if it goes away. It's not the ASI, but the acceleration cue that you're mentioning. Depending on how you calculate the acceleration cue, it may be that the flight model is stuttering, so position updates are pausing the flight model. The world behind the 787 seems to pause, but smoothly, not jerky like FSX on a minimum spec PC. Tells me that rendering isn't the problem, but may be more due to the flight model aspect of the sim. August 27, 201213 yr Author The issue seems to have resolved itself. Must have been some sort of software glitch in another program.
