August 27, 201213 yr Decided to fly from Kadena AFB, Okinawa to Osan AFB, Korea to redo a flight I did in the USMC in 1992. I was in a C-130 but decided to fly Manfred Jahn's Connie instead.

I like the Just Flight Constellation but I actually prefer Jahn's freeware version. The southern part of Japan sure has nice terrain! For those that have never tried Jahn's Connie it has a nice VC and a ton of liveries available.

A tads clean for my taste but brilliantly clear instrumentation. Love the other Exterior too. Fantastic textures. Do post some more liveries if you have time? August 27, 201213 yr Author Hi Lateagain, I usually fly civilian liveries, not sure about other military versions wouldn't be surprised though. Look at calclassic.com for these old propjets. Plus they can be downloaded from here or other sites. The L-749, L-1049G and H, and L-1649 are all modelled by Jahn and team and are separate downloads. You can check the liveries available on avsim search. I'll put up more pics here shortly. When u land the plane, turn the engines off and set the parking brake a nice set of stairs comes up. All of the popular liveries are available plus some more obscure. Here's a couple of obscure ones. There is an awesome old video on Youtube of the Real (Brazil Connie) to find a link go to calclassic Classic Chat forum and look for a post I made (on the first page) called "This has to be the best Constellation video ever!" The VC of the payware maybe slightly better but the VC on Jahn's is Top Notch for freeware. I definitely prefer the freeware external model something on the payware don't seem 100% right but I don't want to knock it the payware is a fine plane. But get the freeware it's outstanding. It is so emersive also be sure to adjust the prop pitch a short while after takeoff get the needles in the green or the planes will shut down. The auto pilot is nice I always fly with autopilot on just after takeoff. It's kind of big in the VC but so is the Payware's autopilot. The autopilot on the real connie is in a different location which would not be good for a VC that's why both models put it where it is for easy access.
