June 22, 200421 yr Was wondering if anyone had any opinions on who makes the most realistic business jet? I am not looking for any particular model of business jet but am instead interested in a jet with a very realistic portrayal of its real world counterpart. A sort of PMDG 737 realistic business jet. I know Eaglesoft is a popular business jet maker but from looking at their site and some of the various reviews on their jets, made me hope there were other developers with more realistic versions of these jets. Gah. Thanks to PMDG I am now spoiled and expect nothing less than what they offer. My flightsimming will never be the same. Thanks for the help.
June 22, 200421 yr I do like the Citation X from Eaglesoft, but it suffers from less than perfect 2D crispness, shall we say. I like stuff to be crystal clear, for my old tired diabetic eyes!Cheers, Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. June 22, 200421 yr Hi,I also thoroughly enjoy Eaglesoft's aircrafts. I have their Hawker 400XP and Citation X. If you want something that is pretty nice and has an FMC, then have a look at the FeelThere CRJ series. Although it's not up to PMDG's standards, I have a feeling you'd probably like it the best. Other than it only has a pseudo FMC, the Eaglesoft Citation X rocks! My understanding is no plane has a 100% realistic FMS, but FeelThere's is somewhat functional. They needed to improve the NavData for it from it's intial release. I imagine that the NavData that has come out for it since then is better, but I can't say that I know.http://www.feelthere.com/fs/Hope that helps,Jim
June 23, 200421 yr Noel, I agree it is really hard to read the guages and the lettering on the Citation X panel. I really like what Eaglesoft has done, but I wish they would publish a patch that fixes the fuzzy appearance,CheersBob
June 23, 200421 yr this X jet does is not operate at around .9 mach without a working FMC unit.knock the price down to the $18-$22US range and your talking a nice- to-have addon. CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K
June 29, 200421 yr I'd highly recommend the Citation X from eaglesoft. Purchased it last weekend and my roomate and I have had a blast ever since! the model looks amazing, the standard model runs best and gets rid of the pointless yet very detained and interesting addons like the lady moving around in the seat. Even the pilots look around and look amazing!30 bucks for a high quality business jet is definately worth it. Especially something as powerful as this, and as well done. I don't have any complaints except a lack of repaints (white with colored stripes gets a little boring) but thats it!Oh and why can't you go .9 mach without the FMC? I did it this weekend on a few flights, got her up to FL510 and was crusing at mach .91+
June 29, 200421 yr "Even the pilots look around and look amazing!"LOL.... I just discovered this in the C-II the other day as well. I was setting up for a screenshot when something caught my eye. Sure enough, the pilot was moving his head around--in a very fluid animation. I thought "poor guy"--he probably has a sore neck like I do at the end of the workday.Eaglesoft throws in many of these hidden gems... Retract the gear inside the Citation II, and look at what happens in the cabin...-John
