I hope this is an appropriate post for this forum. If not,I apologize, and please delete..Started to post in the Hardware forum, but it,s now working!!..Here,s what happened.I have been d/l,ing and installing some 2004 A/C for acouple of days.As I am starting my take off roll with a freeware C130,it will not stay on the runway..Deleted it..Next plane, the same..Tried the default trike..No right rudder..Tried to re-calibrate joystick, but FSX will not accept any changes to the rudder axis assignment...So I renamed my controls.xml in FSX "appData" and installed my backup...Same problem...So I renamed it and started FSX thinking it would build a new one(?)..Once FSX loaded,I now have normal control back with NO control.xml file...I,m confused!!..Any one have any ideas about what happened and where the joystick settings are stored??...Thanks in advance..

The files is called Standard.xml (in the Controls folder)

That,s right,Bert...Brain fade...Right now I have it disabled, but I,ve just noticed that while I now have control, the rudder hardly moves on the aircraft..I may delete this post and move to the hardware forum..Thanks for your post..

Edit: Found an old FSUIPC file in the Modules folder..Deleted that and restarted FSX and it DID build a new Standard.xml file this time,so right now I,m flying again...Would have deleted my op but can,t even figure that out today..LOL
