Groundhandling5 - Sound Error (FSX)

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am running Windows 7 & FSX.

I have followed Rob's readme file and loaded the gauge (50 without the 50a icon upgrade) to two aircraft, the Beech Baron 58 and the Beech King Air 350. The taxi element works perfectly but the push back produces a sound error.

It emanates from selecting a straight back push, say 20 metres. Push the button, flashes green, hit the period to release the parking brake, which re-applies the Parking Brake when the period is released. This is followed a few seconds later by the big red "sound error".

As the taxi part works well I assume there is something wrong on the sound side and I have checked and rechecked the entries, folders & sub folders and everything appears OK.

The only other add-in installed is FDC Live Cockpit, but not enabled/selected in this instance.

Any help would be appreciated please

Very clear description of the problem !!

Beats many simple "it doesn't work...." support requests :)

If you send me an Email (No PM please; see my README for address) with panel.cfg as attachment,I'll have a look.

And if the panel.cfg is correct:

I have a few tips on what to look for.

If it's any comfort:

- You're the 100+ user I know of, with such a problem.

- And in all these 100+ cases I know of, it appeared to be a simple installation error.

As simple as a wrong file location or wrong subfolder name.

But I do know how long one can stare at a simple typo, like mistyping a "_" (underscore) instead of a "-"(minus sign), or spell the word "gauge" as "guage" :)

Just two examples ...

Hope my reply on EMail did the trick ..

And if so ...

Q.E.D., as to my remark about installation errors :)

Cheers, Rob

  • 2 years later...

I Have the same problem...

  • 1 year later...

I have the very same Problem too.

Since a couple of weeks I do not have any callouts , like "minimums" , "rotate" ,"v1" in non of the planes which normally had these , like PMDG 777 , 737 etc.
Rest of the sounds are okay , engines , retracting flaps, atc voices are all fine. It is not a PMDG issue as other planes have this behaviour too.

In the Embraer 190 KLM the pushback turns red with "Sound error" were I before heard :  "Release Parking Brakes"

Search the internet but did not found a solution. Any ideas?
