June 24, 200421 yr http://www.liderdesigns.com/Gulfstream%20GV.htmlInformation on the website is scant and I haven't see any reviews on it, even though it's been out since the start of this month. It seems to be decent enough visually, though the screenshots are somewhat low res. Could anyone give any insight as to how well the other aspects (flight dynamics, avionics, etc.) are modelled?
June 24, 200421 yr Well this is indeed strange.I see that Flight1 is the official vendor for this product. However, a visit to: http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?category=fs2004 has no mention of it at all, neither is it mentioned anywhere on Flight1's site. I mean, if you're the official vendor for a product and you don't even mention it on your site, what is the public to think about the quality of that product?Strange.....Awaiting reviews as well.
June 24, 200421 yr I suspect this is a very "light weight" package with little emphasis on realism. One way to judge it is the size of the download. 21 MB is not much these days. The best aircraft (even not jets) come at aaround 50-70 Mb download. Also the cockpit avionics look like some 747-remake. June 24, 200421 yr Author Any company may use the flight1 wrapper with the approval of flight1. This does not mean that this is a flight1 product if that company/author does not give flight1 permission to sell their product through the flight1 web site also.In other words they are just using the wrapper and e-commerce system, if this is even the case. I haven't been to the author's site yet. We use the Flight1 wrapper also. This means that Flight1 is OUR vendor not the other way around. We pay for the use of the wrapper and e-commerce tools.I hope this clears things up a bit. Jeff D.
