Trouble with Carenado Cessna grand Caravan 208

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I have been doing some flying with the 208 from Carenado, and I have been having some problems. First, when I fire it up with a parking brakes off it seems to develop some enormous power which can pull me at speeds up to 50 kn in the worst-case with the parking brakes on.

The second problem is when slowing down for descent. If I pull itself back with the props fully forward (not engaging reverse thrust, or beta range, or whatever it is called) it slams on the brakes. I can descend quite steeply (>3000 feet per minute) without gaining any speed at all. While this makes it very simple to slow down, it doesn't seem very realistic, does it?

Any insight is appreciated.
