September 3, 201213 yr Hi guys, I have been doing some flying with the 208 from Carenado, and I have been having some problems. First, when I fire it up with a parking brakes off it seems to develop some enormous power which can pull me at speeds up to 50 kn in the worst-case with the parking brakes on. The second problem is when slowing down for descent. If I pull itself back with the props fully forward (not engaging reverse thrust, or beta range, or whatever it is called) it slams on the brakes. I can descend quite steeply (>3000 feet per minute) without gaining any speed at all. While this makes it very simple to slow down, it doesn't seem very realistic, does it? Any insight is appreciated. Frank Olaf Sem-Jacobsen
September 3, 201213 yr maybe see the 208 section under carenado where these has been discussed in great detail - sometimes in toooo much detail. . http://forum.avsim.net/forum/364-grand-caravan-for-fsx/

September 3, 201213 yr The starting power problem is a bug in the FSX engine, happens to prop planes often. Sometimes it's caused by improper use of the mixture and propeller levers
