September 5, 201213 yr This green arrow on the GPS wouldn't happen to mean anything would it? I drew a line from the tail of the aircraft icon to that arrow and it appeared to be parallel to the course. I did not save any of the changes to the image. Thanks for the info scott967. Very helpful. Hi Scott, The green arrow represents the aircraft's true course (or "track") across the ground. On a side note, the number at top center is the heading in magnetic degrees, meaning the direction (in this case) the nose of the aircraft is pointing relative to magnetic north. That's why it says ###°M (magnetic) You want to match (obviously) "track" with DTK (desired track). With this default quasi GPS, that means matching the green arrow to the DTK.
