September 16, 201213 yr I extended a runway, and now the original ILS antenna that was at the end is now on the runway. Not sure how to delete it. I have ADE and Instant Scenery. With ADE, it doesn't look like you can use a polygon to delete the antenna. I'm not sure if I added the antenna originally with Instant Scenery, or if it is stock FSX. I haven't used Instant Scenery in awhile, and I can't recall how to select objects with it in FSX in order to delete objects. I know I used to be able to open individual object bgl's from my Addon Scenery folder for that airport, but now my Instant Scenery libraries do not include BGL's from Addon Scenery. Can someone help?
September 16, 201213 yr How did you extend the runway? If you used ADE did you start from the stock airport? If so then you should see the antenna in the ADE display. (Make sure that you have View > Library Objects checked. Make sure also that the Scenery Complexity setting in the menu bar is EXTREMELY_DENSE. You should then be able to see the antenna - probably as a narrow yellow rectangle. If you want to delete it then select it in ADE and hit the delete key. You could also choose to move it back in relation to the extended runway. To do that just select it and drag it to the new location. In ADE you do not need to worry about exclusion rectangles for stock objects. Provided you have loaded the stock airport to work from then ADE will take care of it. Use File > Compile (or Ctrl+C) to generate your new Bgl file. If oyu want to do more work make sure that you work from the ADE project file and not by loading back the Bgl file you created. I did use ADE to extend it, but this airport was designed a few years ago and I'm not sure what was used. I'm pretty sure the antenna is from the stock airport though.

September 16, 201213 yr Author So do you have an ADE project file or just a Bgl file? I do have an ADE file.
September 17, 201213 yr And when you load it into ADE is the antenna present in the display? If it is then just select it and delete it. If it is not then you can load the stock objects back into the project using Tools > Load Stock Data. Check at least the Scenery Objects Box. After the import you should have the buildings and other objects such as the antenna in the project display. You can now either move or delete the antenna and recompile. Thanks - this is very good info that I was not aware of. I used Instant Scenery, but this would probably have been easier. Thanks - this is very good info that I was not aware of.
