FSX and FS2Crew PMDG NGX

Featured Replies

Morning everyone,

So I have recently moved from FS9 to FSX and the first thing I did was went and purchased the NGX and the FS2 Crew..I have asked this question on the FS9 forums but got the answer I was hoping not to get. So here it goes for FSX..when I run FSX and FS Crew is there a way I can have the main sounds run through my speakers and the FO voice run through the headset. I use a USB headset so I don't know if I can change something in the FSX settings or it's impossible..The other day I was flying and I connected the headset after I started up the FS Crew and somehow it happened. It was amazing flying because all I heard was the ATC and the FO in my headset while the engines and everything else was coming out of my speakers.

If anyone has an answer please share..

Thank you!

Best Regards, Jason

Yes you can hear the FO in your headset, not sure about atc because I use rc4. You just have to set it up right in the cfg panel before you start. In the cfg panel choose your headsets it should be listed; then on the main fs2crew panel select the HS button. You must do it in this order for it to work like you want to.

Thank you very much sir! I guess that is what I did and didn't really catch on..I will most definitely try this out as soon as I get home from school...

Once again, thank you!

Firstly, I'd try this in the FS2Crew forum if I were you. Unlike some, it's an official forum and questions are usually answered pretty quickly.

Secondly, I don;t actually know the answer to this but there is a button on the FS2Crew main panel which directs the FO voice through the headset. I PRESUME that doesn't affect anything else, so all the other sounds would go through your speakers if they are the main FSX sound source - presumably including ATC. I don't see how you can separate the standard FSX ATC from the engine & cockpit sounds.

i've never tried it - I play the whole lot through the headphones to avoid annoying my nearest & dearest!

But as I say, try the FS2Crew forum.
