Gizmo vs Sasl...

Featured Replies

I have leraned to move the Gizmo folder from "Plugins" whenever I am not using the LES dc-3, so that I can use, for instance, the Carenado Seneca, but, question is:

- When I move back the Gizmo.plugin folder into my Plugins, under Resources, and start the dc-3, will it not interfere with the other plugins during dc-3 use?

If you have both SASL and Gizmo installed, you will have problems with SASL coded add ons.

Gizmo add ons run perfectly fine with SASL installed.

Ok Goran,

so, when using the dc-3 I simply have to drop the Gizmo.plugin folder into my plugins X-Plane10 folder and voilá! When not flying the dc-3, removing that Gizmo folder from there is the equivalent of - uninstall Gizmo... Correct?

I haven't tested it extensively, but I believe that the stuttering that I found with the dc-3 on 10.10RC1 was solved with this RC2... For a while I thought it might have something to do with both Gizmo and Sasl (I believe this is what the Carenado Seneca installed... because at least I was not able to use it while the Gizmo.plugin folder was there...).

Are you working on some specific update of the dc-3 for 10.10, or will you rather wait for the 64-bit version of X-Plane10 (10.20, I beieve...)?

Yes

But I want to wait and see what will need to be done when XP10 finally becomes stable (Around 10.2) before I dedicate too much time to an update.

Not totally sure when 10.2 will be out.

I can't say when the Saab will be out. I have an idea (somewhere around 10.2 or earlier) but I don't want to say too much as anything can happen between now and then.
