September 19, 201213 yr Hi Could someone possibly send me a working aircraft.cfg? I've broken mine, rather badly, while putting in the Mr Stolle fde and I'm not knowledgeable enough to repair it. PM me and I'll fire you and email addy. Thanks Mike Mike Dryden
September 19, 201213 yr Always backup first, Mike. But the solution is to use Bernt Stolle's file in full and only add your liveries to it. So if you have the download from Bernt, just use that included aircraft.cfg and test the plane in FSX. If it works, add the extra liveries. Liveries are those [fltsim.0], [fltsim.1], [fltsim.2] sections in the file. With Bernt's file and mod, you only have to watch one line in those sections. sim=C208_ng The blue part may be a new name. To be precise, that's the name FSX looks for when searching for the actual flight model in that air file which also came with the mod. If it doesn't find one with that name, it will cause an error 'could not start flight model' or something. Is that what you are seeing?
September 19, 201213 yr Author Yeah, I know I should have backed up. I've mostly resurrected the thing, but I dont have the fixed external textures (moveable surfaces are there) for anything other than the white livery in the external view. It's probably one line I'm missing... The new flight model works fine. If nothing else, it's making me learn a little more about what goes on under the hood! Mike Dryden
September 19, 201213 yr It shouldn't have altered anything on the textures from my understanding. Perhaps it's easier to just reinstall the plane, then backup the original stuff and apply the FDE mod. As said, the only item to watch is that one line when it comes to the livery entries.
