September 22, 201213 yr Hi All, I am doing something wrong in my preflight/pretakeoff work with the FMC/MCP that is causing that is causing the auto pilot to not engage when I press the CommandA button on the MCP. I have the auto throttle engaged and the Flight director engaged---- I import the flight plan from co route on the FMC (made in FSBuild with new Navigraph data for both FSBuild and PMDG (all fields filled in except the sel/oat because i don't know what goes in the sel slot) . I had this problem a few years ago and somebody helped me out----I have taken a few months off from flying the sim and am re-learning the 737NGX all over again. Thanks to anybody for some help on this issue. Cheers to All Dorn Cranert
September 22, 201213 yr I'm assuming this is for the 737. If you have realistic ap on then you can't have any input from your control surfaces. Make sure you're not moving the yoke or pedals and that they're calibrated. Randy Swofford
September 22, 201213 yr I think you mistook 777 for 737NGX, make sure you have all your flight controls centered, and both FDs are on.
September 22, 201213 yr After takeoff wait until you are above 800 msl then engage autopilot Cheers Don Emerson After takeoff wait until you are above 800 feet then engage autopilot Cheers Don Emerson
