September 22, 201213 yr Hi All, My Command A button will not light and turn on the autopilot after takeoff---I have a flight plan entered in the FMC (which I build in FSBuild--the auto throttle is on, the flight director is on, I can get the speed button to light, I can get the LNAV to light---and after flying for maybe 5 min I can sometimes get the command light in one of the four buttons to light---help Cheers Dorn Cranert
September 22, 201213 yr If you have realistic ap on then you can't have any input from your control surfaces. Make sure you're not moving the yoke or pedals and that they're calibrated. Also the AP won't engage below 400' AGL I believe. Randy Swofford
September 22, 201213 yr Yes, the autoplitot is certified for engagement at, or above 400ft AGL ,as per FAA. regulations. DIMITRI
