hello everyone !

I recently found out something about my computer which i wanted to share here and also hope to get some help from professionals

1.My specs :

intel i5 ---> 2.5 ghz with TURBO BOOST TO 3.1GHZ

RAM : 8gb

video card : Nvidia GT630m 2gb

2. what i am running :

Fs9

PMDG737

Ground environment xtreme

3. Now the main problem. From the start i had a FPS problem , i usually got 10-15 with this computer which eventually led me to monitor the Intel Turbo boost technology 2.0 while running the Flight sim. what i saw was a bit of surprise for me.

I was getting the same 10-15 FPS and the turbo boost showed no boost that is that the computer was running at 2.5ghz . then it slightly provided a boost which immediately resulted in the FPS increase to around 20.

NOW MY MAIN QUESTION IS THAT WHY ISNT IT PROVIDING TURBO BOOST ALL THE WAY UPTO 3.1 GHZ SO THAT I CAN HAVE A BETTER GO AT THE FLIGHT SIM. IN OTHER WORDS IS THERE A MANUAL WAY TO MAKE IT GO ALL THE WAY TO 3.1 ?

THIS PROBLEM IS REALLY ANNOYING AND I CANT GET GOOD FPS TO RUN IT SMOOTHLY. WHILE I DO HAVE THE POWER, I CANT UTILIZE IT. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED . THANKS :)

Relying on turbo boost is not going to help as you have already discovered. You need to overclock if your cpu allows it. Please go to our Hardware forum ... CPU, Motherboard sub forum, and the guys there will straighten you out in no time.

Good luck.
