Gday Guys

After listening to the engine sounds on the thread GE,RR,and PW by Luke , I was wondering what you gentleman do for sound, and how you have it set up in the computer and is there anyway you can adjust the base ect. I got to say i love the sounds of the prat on the first vid in the thread, it kinder sounded like a really ###### of cat., i do love the way PMDG get the sounds pretty spot on, and its a pity some other devs arnt as paticular, with the engine sounds, Cough ,sorry i was neally going to say who one of the devs was, but i wont. I really dont know anything about the sounds in fsx, so any input would be great . thanks

Yeah interested if they create or record them. Regarding sounds, I hope the 777's Hydraulic Sounds are there :-)

Gday,

Thanks Luke, Just went and bought a set of headphones for my laptop, mainly because i was curious if they would make any differance, and they sure did, at first i used the usb connection , but the next morning when i booted the computer windows wouldnt load, it said at the end of the attemted repair that if that if any new usb device has been plugged in remove it and sure enough when i unplugged it windows booted as normal, so now im using the 3.5mm plugs, which i have to say is a lot better than the inbuilt speakers, i can hear sounds that i couldnt hear before, such as the roar of the thrust, its hard to explain with words, putting it another way i can hear the more basier sounds.

This is all the pmdg 747, i havent tried the ngx yet with the headphones, since i love the sound of the big turbines.

ID be interested if anybody else was using headphones and how they have them set up

My motherboard has a built-in Realtek sound card. It comes with a software for sound editing, but I leave it where it is. It is still pretty fun tho to play around with the effects while listening to music...

I use Beats by Dr Dre, the sound quality is brilliant! PMDG definitely give you the full experience where that's concerned. However I think I need to play with my settings as when airborne the engines are way too loud ha. In the flight deck you don't hear half as what you do in the cabin!

Just connect your PC to a 5.1 soundsystem, max out the bass and here we go. As real as it gets ground-roll experience! Makes you feel like you are right at the ramp of an airport. :LMAO:

With kind regards, Bogdan Misko.

Gday

Bogdan, how do you connect your 5.1 system, with HDMI or optical, i have a 7.1 / 5.1 system and toying with the idea of hooking that up, but i have my elderly mum living upstairs whom im looking after, so in reality i cant hence the headphones, but like i said its way better than the inbuilts.

Ive never been in a airliner flight deck, but have been in many airliner cabins, from what i understand is that the pilots cant hear the flap motors ect, and can only just hear the engines, but i do love to hear all the sounds, with the engines at the top of the list.

I saw a video from inside a A380 on take off and your flat out hearing anything, paticually the engines, so would be interested to know if anyone has been on one, and if its that quite.

Im really looking forward to listening to those big burners on the T7.

Thanks for input

Jeff
