September 30, 201213 yr Hi, everyone....the Ol' Blackbird here.......cloudy and rainy here in Southern NH, USA. First of all - I'll say it again....I LOVE this program!!! Wonderful weather depiction.......can't wait to see where it all goes. Bravo, Stephen, et al!! My question: as the title says - when I am in VC view and have Dynamic Head Movement on, the view locks at a certain seat height. When DHM is off, I can of course adjust my seat height by pressing SHIFT-ENTER. This will raise my seat. What would I adjust in the PMDG 737 (for example) settings (in panel.cfg? or aircraft.cfg?) to make my seat position higher (with DHM on)? I thought I saw the answer to this the other day - but lost that info. Duh! Should've saved it as a favorite! Thanks to anyone who can answer this question. All best, Ray Landolt (Blackbird) P.S. - I am running v 2.22.1.
September 30, 201213 yr Hello Bblackkbirdd, I was trying this on my pc(standalone) to check and thes FSX eye-view commands work normally. I remember however, when I was still using Ezca, that these or some other commands weren't possible/available anymore. You haven't running ezca together with Opus to control the cameras, have you? salu2 Fdovillamil / GCLP Joop H.

I would recommend you edit the camera view and adjust the Y position. Unfortunately it is impossible in FSX to read the current eye position hence it is impossible to superimpose the two controlling actions. One possible solution would be to create two camera views, one with a lower and one with a higher seat position, but I find just setting the right seat height good enough for all purposes an just create other VC views that I need during the flight (e.g. a centre cockpit view). September 30, 201213 yr Author Good evening, Gents......thanks for your replies. Please be aware - that indeed you CAN adjust seat position (in the VC) by making one small edit in the aircraft.cfg file of the plane in question. In said file, scroll down until you see the word EYEPOINT. The 3rd number to the right is the eyepoint height (or seat height, so to speak). Just so I am clear here, the thing that necessitated this adjustment is apperently DHM. Once I engage that, the eyepoint locks, and the old SHIFT-ENTER trick has no effect, so I decided to affect the change in the aircraft.cfg file. I adjusted all my planes - one at a time, of course, and it is perfect now (for me). When I start FSX then OpusFSX, the weather downloads and once I start to move (while in the VC view) the seat adjusts to what I selected. No, you can't adjust it while in flight Sim, but I experimented til I got the seat height that I wanted, so no further adjustment is needed. Just thought I'd clear that up. BTW....I've never used EZCA. Stephen, your approach would also work very nicely. Thanks! Have a great night (or day?).......Love OpusFSX - of course, I am a Musician!!! All best, Ray Landolt (Blackbird)
