Hi Doug, Thanks for your detailed answer on the FSX-P3D story. I understood this far better than those "EULA-texts" I've been reading so far! It makes me thinking that Microsoft did not do a bad business at all selling the code to LM. Since they stopped MS Flight as well, this will give them a break of maybe a few years to think it all over, while LM is developing the P3D meanwhile. I can already see what will be up after let's say 3-5 years: A brand new Flashing , Super Flight Simulator which will be unbeatable for another 25 years! Hello Doug, I did some research and I can confirm you as follows: I've got it "working" but only 1) in Windowed mode 2) launching SB4 via Taskbar Start - All Programs or directly from the install folder in C:\ Once P3D v1.4 is active I cannot launch SquawkBox from the Menu Bar | Add-ons | Start SquawkBox. When I activate "Start SquawkBox" it just disappears from the Menu until next launching. It seems it didn't trigger anything neither because I can start SquawkBox as described above. For me -after all- it is not a big issue as I was and I am only trying to get some experience in this virtual-on-line-flying. I have read so many beautiful stories in all the forums that I cannot understand at all that it seems to be impossible to have FSInn or SquawkBox working with P3D. Does this mean that all those P3D-simmers (and I suppose there are many of them out there and getting more each day!) does this mean that they can not do this with P3D??? Or is everybody simply trying to do it his way and get the best out of it? Anyway, Doug, thanks so far for your help and kind attention. Very appreciated! Hello Doug, Sorry to tell you, but it doesn't seem to work. I must be missing something, because it can't be that difficult. As I first installed it as usual in FSX, I tried it in FSX and it worked normally. I'm really surprised and a bit disappointed, because till now I succeed installing nearly any addon in P3D! What puzzles me is that I can't understand how a simconnect.dll can be used for P3D if the version is for example 10.0.61259.0, which is for FSX SP2. In the Modules-folder I also saw a file called sb3gaugebridge.dll. As discussed before I have FSUIPC4 (Reg.) v4.8.5.8 (before I had v4.8.5.7, but I don't think that this caused any problems). Hello Doug, I'v been trying to get it working exactly following your instructions. It's not the first time actually that I'm trying it and I thought giving it another chance. But no good. The difference imho can only be the Simconect version, since you said you did NOT use the original one, but a later version. Could you pls give me some more details on this version? For now I can only launch and connect SB4 by executing from its folder. If I try from the Menu bar within P3D (v1.4) it doesn't launch and it also disappears from the Menu bar until the next time I launch P3D (all 3 dll's are also duly copied and added into the P3D DLL). Hello WR269 Opus isn't a clone of any other weather program. Opus has its own approach of serving you with an excellent weather engine and many, many more features. It is really impossible to give a good answer in a nutshell here. Pls put your specific questions in there forum if there is nobody hear to be able to answer you. Hello Mad Dog, Opus is always giving the METAR at the Zulu time. That means the real weather at the real time. Now if you wish to fly that weather in daytime, that is up to you. So actually it seems to be the other way around imho: you are flying the real weather in "unrealistic daytime". salu2 Joop /GCLP

Hello Francesco, as far as the example cam file is concerned, you will find it after installation in your C: | OpusFSX folder. It is called "FSXSERVER_B737". If you already have a existing file called FSXSERVER (type=CAM File) and you still have no cams created yourself then replace this one by the FSXSERVER_B737 file, removing "_B737" (underscoreB737). Assign the cameras to any JS-button or KB key as you wish and your done. If you run P3D like me than you have to do this with the file called P3DSERVER (Type=CAM File). (remove "_B737" AND ALSO change "FSX" in "P3D", so the file will look like "P3DSERVER". salu2 Fdovillamil Joop / GCLP

Hi Dave, Obviously if you USE two camera programs like Opus and EZCA at the same time you will create a problem. But if Opus is not active (LCC unchecked) then the HKselect=4 isn't used by Opus and the Opus camera definitions are just there in case you activate Opus LCC. I had EZCA running before, but desactivated it (EXE html doc disable=true).It doesn't make sense to me to activate it just for the purpose of checking. I don't like the artificial wobbling of the cameras. Also EZCA is taking possession of far too many keyboard functions and view commands, whilst Opus doesn't claim any keyboard key or button. I remember however, when I was still using Ezca, that these or some other commands weren't possible/available anymore. Hi Mark II If you say "each time it starts its weather forecast", you probably mean the weather forecast generated by RexE? Well to start with, you should disable the weather engine of RexE and let Opus do the forecast. Secondly: RexE only loads its textures (all kind of cloud and weather textures) only once. If you like to change some textures you should do so by launching RexE, without your Simulator running! hope this helped. salu2 Joop
