Opus interface

Featured Replies

Guys what does the weather interface look like? is it easy to be able to plan you climb and descent forecast? Can you enter a flight plan like as2012? and from what I hear you can't run everything (the whole interface)across a network right? but it is planned in a future version correct.

Right now, the interface for weather is very simple... just the option to turn live updates on or off, to select a few options related to in-flight visibility and to allow or disable fog and mist generation.

The developer indicated that network capability will be coming very shortly.

At the moment, the Live Weather Engine part of Opus is just a weather generator... it doesn't have any flight planning features as of yet.

The next big development effort appears to be geared towards adding the ability to inject accurate real-world winds and temperatures aloft. I would think that any flight planning or forecast features would have to wait until the winds aloft functionality is completed

The program has come a long way in a very short time, with sometimes two or three new beta versions being released each week, so I don't think we will have to wait too long for some of the new features users are asking for.

The developers' support has been outstanding so far. I sincerely hope they keep it up and it looks like OpusFSX is turning out to be a collaborative effort, primarily, of course, from the developers themselves but also with a lot of constructive input from the community.
