October 7, 201213 yr Hi I currently ran FSX on 2 monitors in full sceen on EVGA GTX570HD works perfect. I would like to buy another card... maybe a lower end GTX560 and install it in the second PCIE slot then have other monitors hooked to it, is it possible...? Does anyone have this set up like that? If possible could the second card run in window mode to use for other things or would all four monitors switch to FULL SCREEN MODE? Provided this set up is even possbile. Second option would be getting higer end card, but at any rate the main question is would this even work? What is the downside to it if any? Proposed what i would like to do: EVGA-GTX570HD and EVGA-GTX560Ti or EVGA-GTX570HD and EVGA-GTX580 or higher maybe even GTX680... the the higher end Card would run the main view of the FSX yes my mobo has 2 x PCIEX16 slots, mobo does not support SLI, but I DO NOT want SLI, mobo is P8Z 68-V LX Win7 Premium 64bit i5-2500K Thanks Andy Andy Home Cockpit B737
October 9, 201213 yr Ben is correct. You would have to run in windowed mode. If you ran full screen on 2, it would minimize as soon as you clicked on the third screen. Your options are to either get the 680 and another monitor with the same specs as your existing 2 and run a triple setup using the Nvidia software or a good low cost solution would be to just run windowed mode, dig out that old 8800GT you have laying around and take that old monitor off your neighbors hands. Buying a decent card for undocking would only help the economy and provide no benefit to your FS experience. Willy
October 9, 201213 yr Your best bet is to sell that 570 and upgrade to a more powerful card like the GTX 670 that can handle many monitors at once on a single card.
October 9, 201213 yr Author ok thanks guys! yes Gtx 670 did get my attention i was first looking at the 660ti but after more digging found out that 670 should be more powerful actually due to hmm i forgot there was something that 660ti did have less of, dont matter, and 680&690 especially 690 would be a waste of $$$ when it comes to FSX if it wasnt for Fsx i still be using my old p4  lol Andy Home Cockpit B737
