autogen draw distance

Featured Replies

Is it possible to increase the draw distance of the autogen buildings and trees.

I've tried all the scenery sliders up and down but the distance at which I get autogen to update scenery remain at around the 10 -15 miles mark.

I've just got my system running pretty good with dx10 (thanks to Paul J) and the only thing that is making that little less realistic is the fact that i'm getting scenery appearing too close to me ,I would like it to start appearing much further away

Hi Pete,

I haven't heard of this before. You can zoom and and out and maybe your are zoomed in too much? I did some searching and found that it cannot be done as it is hardcoded - http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?t=81821. However, I saw another post where they say it can be increased if you increase the LOD from the FSX default of 4.5 to something like 6.5. It will be a performance killer though! Here's the link to that post - http://forum.avsim.net/topic/243026-autogen-popup/.

Best regards,

Jim
