Confused about atc.dll

Featured Replies

Just recently I started getting atc.dll CTD. Ive struggled alot with my FSX over the past year, but when it works, its beautiful, so im not giving this up.

The atc.dll however is a bit tricky. Ive now spent a good couple of days reading in and out about atc.dll CTD`s and attempts at solutions. It occurs ALWAYS in CRZ

and at a certain distance into it. To begin with I was convinced it had something with ATC in FSX to do.. But now I know better. What confuses me

is where to begin. Alot of people talk about reducing memory timings, rebulid the fsx.CFG from scratch or saying that the OC must be to blame (have not OC my CPU).

So where to begin? I dont know, but im gonna try different things, just had to wave a flag in here to see if anyone has seen any good posts about it?

Thank you for any help!

And what I did so far, if anyones interested, was to delete the CFG and let it rebuild. Gotta say, bojotes tweaks does have an effect. Anyways, had my first flight after it and everything worked out fine for now.

Oh yes, and I also did this fix:

Not good to say if its just luck or not..

Looks like you might have fixed it with rebuilding the FSX.cfg. Some tweaks do not work for everyone. I would stay away from Bojote's tweaks and use the tweaks suggested in Word Not Allowed's guide pinned in the Hardware Forum. You have a fairly fast and powerful system. A wrong tweak will cause your system to use an excessive amount of memory.

As a friendly reminder, can you remove your system specs from your signature? There's a new forum signature policy (pinned in the FSX Forum) that disallows this and you now put your specs in your My PC Specifications in your Profile. Thanks.

Best regards,

Jim
