October 10, 201213 yr Ive returned to simming after a long absence, and have started the usual path of installing add-ons, etc. Ive upgraded FSX to SP2. One thing I suddenly noticed was that the generic buildings are missing from my airports. Guess I hadn't noticed if they were there prior to installing the service packs, so I dont know if the packs are the source of the problem. I apologize if this issue has been addressed a long time ago, but a search of Avsim hasn't turned up much. Any help? Ive also installed REXEssentials and UT-USA for FSX. When I pull the airports into Airport Design Editor, it shows the buildings are there.
October 10, 201213 yr Moderator The buildings are controlled by the scenery compexity slider. The more you put it to the right, as in Dense, Very Dense, or Extremely Dense, the more of those buildings will show. Try adjusting that slider and see if you get the results your after. October 10, 201213 yr Author I was sure that was the first thing I tried, but Ill double-check. Thanks
October 10, 201213 yr There is also a bug in SP2--if you have autogen disabled, some buildings in airports and cities will dissapear depending on your angle of view and distance to them. It's something I found by accident, unfortunately after Microsoft was no longer supporting the product. It only happened to me because I disabled Autogen once for some odd reason. John
