very poor frame rates - some advice please

Hi Stephen,

 

Just purchased your great new product and have to say very impressed with the weather depiction. Well done!

 

Therein lies the problem however....

 

All installed as per manual etc and using FEX 1024 clouds. At Heathrow earlier I was getting frames in single figures - I guess due to the amount of cloud cover etc. The question is - is there a way to greatly improve the frame rates without detracting from the full "glory" of you program?

 

Any/all advice gratefully received

How far have you set cloud draw distance in FSX and what is your max ground visibility in Opus?

 

If you set draw distance to maximum, the effect is stunning, however, the performance is awful... Pull back the draw distance a little to see if that helps, assuming you have it set high...
