Is it just me and my monitor or are the clouds really rather white then dark/black at deep night?

Is there a way to have dark clouds in the night?

Not just you, me also. They look just weird at night, perhaps ok when flying over big cities, but for other areas they're just too bright for me, don't know if they have alfa channels or something that we could tweak.
