Do I realy need to change my MOBO

Featured Replies

Hi,

I currently have an ASUS P8P67 deluxe and I would like to upgrade my Graphic card from a Nvidia N480gtx 2MB with a N680 or N670 2 MB. My MOBO has 2 PCI express 2.0, do I need to go with a MOBO equiped with PCI express 3.0. Would this give me a significant increase in performance, or I should keep my current MOBO.

Thanks for any advice

Pierre

Hi,

You will not need to upgrade your motherboard to a PCIe3 native board. The one you have will work fine with ANY PCIe3 GPU.
