"Unknown" in Aircraft Selection Window

Featured Replies

Hello,

Several aircrafts that I install get listed under "Unknown". Of course, most of them like PMDG are listed under the developer name.

Leonardo's Maddog always lands in the "Unknown" list. Also Lionheart's Kodiak is listed as "Unknown" by developer.

Does anyone know how to tag developer names to these aircraft so they will be listed in FSX under "Leonardo" and "Lionheart"?

Thank you,

Bob

Edit the aircraft.cfg file, I think the line is:

ui_manufacturer=

or

ui_createdby=

Jay

That is because Leonardo's liveries do not have correct-full entries in the aircraft.cfg file.

There are three lists that categorize aircraft in FSX, the left, the center and the right.

Proper entries for Leonardo's (and any aircraft accordingly) would be:

ui_manufacturer=McDonnell Douglas
ui_typerole=MD-82
ui_createdby=Leonardo SH

The ui_typerole categorizes aircraft in the right list, and the other two, in the other two lists.

Thank you guys. I appreciate that very much. It bothers me to have "Unknown" on my list of aircraft. Now I can get rid of that.
