October 23, 201213 yr I've purchased way too much payware in the past several weeks--3 Carenado aircraft. Decided to purchase just one more, the RealAir Turbine Duke to compliment the piston Duke I already have. It's everything members here have said it is--a little rocket that gets up into the flight levels in a hurry and gets where it's going in a bigger hurry. And it can take off and land virtually anywhere. On to the scenery--the first shot is just over Albuquerque, with the Rio Grande below. For the first half of the trip out of Albuquerque, the scenery is high desert puncuated with the occasional bit of farmland. About a hundred miles from Lubbock, the scenery becomes a steady stream of farmland which looks great from above. Today I logged over four hours on the hobbs between four flights--Napa to Reno, Santa Ana to Phoenix, Phoenix to Albuquerque, and the one shown in these screenshots. Pretty good shakedown cruise, eh! Enjoy the shots, and thanks RealAir for another gem. John
October 23, 201213 yr Yep, it's a great aircraft. RealAir doesn't disappoint. I have almost every Carenado aircraft released for FSX with just a few exceptions. Everyone, myself included, applauds Carenado for their great texture work. IMHO RealAir is just as good, inside the cabin and out. I also feel that my RealAir aircraft, especially the Turbine Duke, don't suffer from the effects of aliasing like my Carenado aircraft. And RealAir's flight dynamics are awesome. I find their aircraft incredibly easy to fly. I've had some great landings with the Turbine Duke, and that reverse thrust really makes for short stopping distances. After almost a year with no payware purchases, I've picked up several great aircraft. Thanks to third party developers like RealAir and Carenado, FSX is alive and well and is a new sim with every aircraft I pick up. And from reading the forums, there's still a lot of aircraft in the pipeline. I am waiting for Carenado's TBM850, if they ever finish it. John
