October 30, 201213 yr I am overclocked to 4.9 on a SB2500K. I was having problems with idle freezing and to resolve it I have had to take the LLC to level 1 (flat line) and increase the offset to +.005. I am very stable now but running higher voltage than I was before and higher temps. With FSX running my temps are between 65 and 84. The two inner cores hitting the low 80's once in a while then dropping back into the mid 70's. Voltages while running FSX are 1.40 to 1.416. Mark CYYZ
October 31, 201213 yr Author OK, nevermind, the temps are fine....and here is why.....after posting yesterday I took out the vacuum and cleaned out my case filters which were quite dusty. I also vacuumed the cpu fan. Today running under very heavy load (NGX, Thunderstorms, etc) the temps were in the 60's and the max was only 72C. Amazing what a good dusting can do to your temps. October 31, 201213 yr Nice temps! That is actually the same exact voltage and clockspeed that I happen to use on my chip also. Although, my temps are a bit lower since I am on water... High 40s to mid 50s in FSX and low 60s to mid 70s in IBT.
