November 2, 201213 yr Hello, I am wondering if it's possible to "modify" an existing ptp to add winglets to it? I would like an Easyjet -700 with winglets(I know they don't actually fly them). There is already the -700 available. Can I just edit the ptp with the paint kit and copy the textures to a winglet version? Thanks. November 2, 201213 yr Kevin, you can simply copy the textures from the EasyJet repaint to the PMDG 737-700WL folder and add the EasyJet livery to the aircraft.cfg of the 737-700WL. I hope you know how to edit the aircraft.cfg. Else you might want to give the forum search a try before attempting to do so and get some knowledge about it. Make sure that you adapt the respective entries of the aircraft.cfg so that they match the winglet version (have a look at previous entires and compare them). I am not sitting at my flight sim computer at the moment, so I can't name these specific sections. An important point is that you give the EasyJet livery another name than the one used by the Non-WL version, else you'll receive an error message from flight simulator (i.e. add WL after the 737-700 tag). You should get an EasyJet 737-700 with white winglets then, if that fits your needs. You might want to check if the texture folder contains a wingletnight texture. Else you'll see the default PMDG night textures. I'll have a look at this when I have access to my flight simulator again. Christian Mohr
November 2, 201213 yr Author Sure, I have no problem editing the aircraft cfg and all that. Makes sense. I was hoping to paint the winglets though too. So, can I copy the -700 textures to the winglet version and then edit the winglet textures in that folder directly or would I have to get it into the ptp format somehow? I guess I'm not sure what a ptp is. I assume it's proprietary to pmdg? Thanks for your help. Regards, Kevin LaMal "Facts Don't Care About Your Feelings" - Shapiro2024
