  1. An even better question is, why do so many people that have absolutely no idea when a product will actually release come in here and give their predictions on when it will be released. These predictions, together with a couple of dollars, will get me a ride on a city bus. That's about all they're good for.
  2. Thank God common sense is returning!!!
  3. I've been wondering this myself. I was really looking forward to this aircraft.
  4. That's excluding democrat run US cities, right? LOL
  5. I am sorry to be picky here. Maybe your intent was not to match actual aircraft that the airline operated. If so, please ignore this. But, I used to work for Midwest (Express) Airlines in KMKE. To the best of my knowledge, we never operated any Airbus aircraft. You could maybe argue that after with the merger with Frontier, but I think that's a stretch too. Anyway, again, I'm not trying to be rude here. They are great pics and seeing the colors of my former airline always brings back great memories of a wonderful airline and place to work! We were once "The Best Care in the Air"!
  6. So that's still with Steam installed on the same computer as flight sim, right? What if you were to install LSFG on a separate computer with Steam and then copy the LosslessScaling.exe to the flight sim computer(No Steam installed at all) and run it that way? In other words, not installing Steam at all on the flight sim computer but still running the LosslessScaling.exe on the flight sim computer.
  7. This is my hesitation in buying this program. I don't want to have to install Steam. I wonder if this can be installed on a separate computer with Steam and then "extracted" out to the flight sim computer and ran outside of Steam? I'm guessing by the way Alti's statement is worded that this is not possible? I'm not a Steam user so I'm not sure how that part works.
  8. At what resolution? I run at 4K. I have the same processor as you.
  9. Settings in the sim do not matter. You can configure the sim however you want.
  10. For those with a 4090 already that are saying why would we want to use this with one, what settings are you using? Since SU15, I can't get a smooth experience at all with my 4090. So, I'm thinking I may give this a try. But, I'd be happy not to if I could just find the settings to get it running smooth without it.
  11. If I'm understanding this tool correctly, I think what it's doing is it is actually "jumping in the middle" of what the sim is generating for an image to the graphics card and what the graphics card actually gets. So, the sim is going to do whatever we configure it to do based on in game settings. Then, instead of that just going directly to the GPU, it gets intercepted by this tool. This tool does its own processing on top of what the sim already did and then it is what actually outputs the images to the GPU/screen. I don't know if that's technically what's happening or not. But that's how I picture it in my mind. Because he says in the video that this is essentially a screen capture application. So, it's capturing the output from the sim then doing its own magic and then ultimately outputting the image to be displayed to the GPU w/ its additional frames spliced in.
  12. Yes. It will work with P3D v4. Yes, point the config at the resample from the P3D v4 sdk(though I think it would work w/ earlier versions too but you might as well just use the latest version of the sdk).
  13. Ah, ok. I see what you're saying now. You win! (Kind of :)) Though I think in this particular case, it's probably easier to continue on with the code base that has already been working with than to try to start generating kml files and using those. That's better left to another application I think as the process used by this app doesn't need another way to get this data. It already is doing that on its own. You're right. It could have been made to use FSET. But this was originally developed for XP and is now being made to generate ESP photoreal. So I think it's already too far down the line to make it worth while to switch now. As I said, it's already doing the portion where kml/FSET would be needed in its own way. So why go back? Or am I still not on the same page as you yet? :)
  14. You and I have much different definitions of simple. LOL. Well, actually, you're right...it's not hard to draw lines. But try doing that for entire continents!! That's a lot of patience. And patience is definitely a virtue that I lack! :) This application figures that all out for you...at least in regards to water masking. Maybe you are trying to do more yet?
  15. Maybe so. I've used FSET myself so I agree. That works. However, it is nowhere near as simple in my opinion as this app is. Whether it's re-inventing the wheel or not, it's doing so in an easier way for us users.
  16. But who defines the KML? How is that created? Does this exist already on the internet like OSM data does?
  17. Yeah, I am not sure what you don't get Chris? This tool is about as simple as you can get from a user perspective. All you have to do is select what "tile" you want photoreal for and select some options and go. To create something that converts OSM to KML and then have the user have to use FSET to then generate the tiles just adds steps and confusion for the same result. This tool makes it very easy. It's one of the big reasons why people prefer X-Plane over ESP products because of how simple this tool has made it to create such beautiful scenery for free. Obviously for X-Plane, it does autogen too. When this tool does that for ESP(I believe it is planned, right kjjj11223344?), then we will have the same great scenery we have in X-Plane for ESP sims and in such a simple way to create it. What would generating kml first and using FSET do that this can't already? I'm curious.
  18. Either don't answer the yes/no pop up that says it doesn't answer(just leave it up) or, answer it and then re-launch ezdok after p3d is up and running.
  19. I'd be interested in having that checklist as well, if possible?
  20. I believe the reason why they didn't is that SWA closely models option 1 or whatever it's called. The bigger shame is that us button guys don't have a choice at all.
  21. Yep. Can't wait for the P3D version!!! My FSX install runs ok. And, I'm happy to be flying this beautiful aircraft rather than waiting who knows how long for the P3D version. But man, do I miss P3D!!! I can understand the cost reason for staying w/ FSX. But there's no other reason IMO not be on P3D. FSX looks so ugly in comparison. (Again, of course this is just my opinion and beauty is always in the eye of the beholder).
  22. Assuming all your key commands are still default, I think you do this by pressing and holding the space bar(this enables "Mouse Look" I believe it's called) and then you can use your scroll wheel to zoom in and out. Not sure what Scenery folder you put it in. If it's the one off the root of P3D, then no. Though, for scenery, it really can be located anywhere you want. You just have to add it to the scenery library, pointing it to the freemeshX folder that contains the scenery(and optionally texture) folders. I don't recall all the exact details on walking you through that step by step though. So, that's the best I can tell you there. But, you can't just add it to a scenery directory and have it automatically picked up like you can in XPlane. Well, there's ways you can but they are not advisable to do that way. Yeah, I don't think this is possible in P3D. But, I could be wrong?
  23. Yep. You would be fine with this and can't argue with the price. I have never compared so I don't know if this is any better or not, but a payware option is www.toposim.net. I have all the North American stuff and EU stuff and have been more than happy with it. I use the FreeMeshX stuff for the rest of the world and that is fine too. Yep. An alternative would be Ground Environment X(GEX). A matter of personal choice as to which is better. I would check out AS16/ASCA now. That's the latest in the HiFi series. But, yes, the best in weather generation for the MSFS series, IMO. Yes. However, there are free stuff out there too. Don't remember all of them. Also, from my above suggestion, if you went with ASCA from HiFi, you would arguably not really need REX, at least for sky textures anyway. - FSUIPC (to communicate via IP to other Ad-Ons, is that right?), i know XPUIPC in X-Plane so i guess it's the same? Yep, you're correct. This is the XUIPC equivalent. It's not required for everything, but is definitely highly recommended I think. - The VATISM-client if i want to fly online on Vatsim VPilot is what you'd want here. Others... GSX for ground handling stuff. There's probably more. But all I can think of right now.
  24. Should be. I'm running it on a i5 2500k @4.5Ghz, 8M RAM, and a GTX 970. Mostly smooth for me except in AS16/ASCA clouds where I notice some stuttering but nothing so bad that I don't want to fly. Still can't figure out how to improve things there.
  25. No, bought at the local WalMart - LOL. It's an hour drive to the nearest Best Buy for me. So, after reading some reviews on the Samsung, I decided to take a chance. Again, I'm happy with it. If you hadn't mentioned the Sony, I wouldn't be thinking twice. Still will most likely just end up keeping this, to be honest.
