I just got VOX ATC after purchasing Pro ATC X and becoming too frustrated to use it. I must say VOX ATC is absolutely awesome, easy to use and joy to fly with.

 

I have done 4 flights with it so far. My first flight was from KLAS-KPHX in PMDG NGX. It went perfect and the vectors on approach were great!

 

Then I tried the return leg back to KLAS so it was KPHX-KLAS....

 

The SID was given perfectly as well as the transition and the cruise was flawless. However when I got to the T/D on the arrival (TYSSN3)nothing happened and it didn't tell me to descend until I was about 30 miles from the runway. The approach was shot.

 

I retried the flight again with a different STAR (KADDY1)...the same thing happened, no descent until I was way too close to the field and VOX put me into a holding pattern and actually got me onto the ground safely.

 

The third time I retried the flight I pressed 0 on the menu and asked Vox to lower me for arrival and everytime I did it, Vox instructed me to maintain FL260 my cruising altitude.

 

After I requested lower for approach several times I restarted VOX in flight and it still wouldn't give me lower as I was only 40 miles from the field...too late.

 

Any help would be very appreciated...I love flying with this program it is AWESOME!

it looks like there is some kind of an issue with that specific route as Vox should never refuse your decent request (never refused me so far).

I think I figured it out...I wasn't loading the route correctly in the FS flight planner.

 

I really love this product...it is fantastic and has allowed me to do much more flying on my own schedule. It is great with the IVONA voice set. I have just completed about 5 or 6 flights without any issues and flawless approach vectors.
