  1. I would not be surprised if MSFT aquihired Virtuali to work directly with Asobo since GSX already integrates into the community's favorite payware planes. Jorg and the team seem very cognizant not to step on the toes of the most successful 3rd party developers in the space, and they have taken great effort to incorporate their work into the sim with licensing deals. Long term it's a brilliant approach to help foster and grow the third party developer ecosystem.
  2. I'm not a hardware expert but I would think you would want to increase the CPU to get the latency lower. How were you able to throttle your CPU to bring the latency down?
  3. I just did some split testing seems like lasso the way I have it set up on my system brought the latency down on the main thread down about 1ms and gave some more stability. I am going to need to use AutoLOD because the most I can squeeze out of my system in dence airport scenery and traffic is about 50 TLOD.
  4. Yes I just split tested, it seems to do better with the NCP frame limiter for my system. I cap it 2-3 frames below the hz of the monitor.
  5. I believe this may have been the answer I was searching for. I got the closest I possibly could to balancing the CPU latency with the GPU latency and it seems much smoother. I will be doing a couple VATSIM flight this weekend to make sure this solves the issue I am facing. It seems like a lot of people in the comments on the video with the combination of a 4090 and 7950X3D had the same issue I was experiencing, and I can already notice quite a large difference by employing the methods outlined in the video. Sadly I can only really strike the balance by bringing my TLOD to 50 and below, but I prefer to not have stutters...I had to bring my render scaling to 130-140 to match the CPU latency on the GPU and all GPU settings to ultra.
  6. That is strange I get massive latency with Edge Sync, and Frame limiting through RTSS, but no latency if I cap frames in NVCP. I have FG on.
  7. Thanks I was thinking of buying that tree height mod, sad to hear it caused performance issues.
  8. I haven't tested using default aircraft since I never fly them. Yes I believe Riva tuner is sub optimal if trying to cap using Frame Gen. I am not using AI traffic. I fly on VATSIM and found incredible FPS gains by reducing the FSLTL model matching to 2k liveries however it didn't seem to affect the stutters.
  9. I wasn't 100% sure about that but during my testing over the last couple of months I find I get much better performance and less stutters when capping inside of NVCP rather than RTSS.
  10. I have it set to all 3D VCache Cores in Process lasso 1-15, and all other apps on 16-32. I looked at XBox Game Bar and it shows 0% Do you happen to know where in the Game Bar it can set to a specific core?
  11. Yes I primarily run in DX12 with PG enabled always. I did some tests yesterday with PG disabled and don't recall many issues, I have never done a VATSIM flight with PG disabled. Do you think that is the culprit?
  12. Thanks, I have a strange phenomena happening when I try to balance the mainthread to the GPU, I am already running quite low on CPU intensive sliders, but this is the strange thing... When I deselect the MSFS window and go to my secondary monitor, my CPU frametimes come down into the green and my frames increase... But when I click back into the game window my Mainthread goes into the red and frames tank. Any ideas why this could be happening? I have frame gen turned off in the above example, but same thing happens when I have Frame Gen enabled.
  13. Thanks for those suggestions, I disabled GSX awhile ago and didn't notice any difference and disabled Aerosoft VDGS earlier today but still had those approach stutters.
  14. Thanks I have watched that video in full, it does a good job explaining how to tone down the settings to find a sweet spot, but my issue seems only to happen on the last 500 ft of the final approach, I think it may have something to do with MSFS texture popping.
  15. Yes this is happening at all airports about 90% of the time. It's happened to me at small 1 runway fields in Eastern Europe with no traffic in the area and sparse scenery which leads me to believe it has nothing to do with dense traffic / scenery overloading the system.
  16. Hi Noel, I have done a clean GPU driver update using DDU and cleaned out my Nvidia Caches countless times at the following locations. %userProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\NVIDIA\PerDriverVersion\DXCache %localAppData%\NVIDIA\GLCache %localAppData%\D3DSCache I had gone through your pinned post last week and tried many of the settings listed in your recommendations. The frustrating thing for me is that I am very happy with my performance with Frame Gen on and locked to 90 FPS other than the final 1000 ft of the approach. The rest of the flight is butter smooth. Are you locking your frames at 45 with RTSS? I find I get quite a bit of input lag when locking frames externally with RTSS below 80 FPS. It gets extremely noticeable at 60 and below. Also are you using scanline sync and turning off G-Sync or do you take advantage of your G-Sync Monitor? Are you using DX11 or DX12? The only perceived downside to running lower than 60FPS for me is the blurriness of the image when panning, which I do quite a bit with my mouse in airliners to make my way around the cockpit. My eyes have got accustomed to the crisp image of higher frames on a high refresh rate monitor with frame gen. What is the benefit of using back-edge sync for MSFS vs async?
  17. Yes I tried both rolling cache on and off. I have flown with it off except the last couple of days and it did not make a difference having it on vs off for me personally. And yes I agree it is disappointing to throw a serious amount of money into the hobby in terms of hardware and sceneries and still not get the level of enjoyment you are hoping for.
  18. Hi All, I am having a consistent micro stutter on short final for the last couple of months that is ruining the enjoyment of nearly all my flights. I have spent over 100+ hours fiddling with the sim/settings and tweaks to try to solve the issue to no avail. The stutters occur on all four aircraft I primarily fly, which are the PMDG 737, Leonardo MD-80, Fenix A320 and the Inibuilds A300. Around 500 feet all the way to touch down I get these stutters which really ruins an otherwise beautiful flight with incredibly smooth performance. SYSTEM SPECS CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D 16-Core Processor, 4201 Mhz, 16 Core(s), 32 Logical Processor(s) GPU: ASUS TUF Gaming OC RTX 4090 24GB Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix X670E-E Gaming WiFi 6E Ram: 64GB G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 6000MHz CL30 (2 x 32GB) The problem also occurs whether I am recording a flight using OBS or just flying without recording it. I typically can get well in excess of 100+ FPS with DX12 and Frame Gen, but my smoothest experience is with FPS locked to 90 in NVCP, DX12, TAA. Mostly Medium and High Settings and Ultra for terrain pre-caching and terrain vector data. TLOD 100/ OLOD 100. I have the sim on its own dedicated NVMe drive separate from Windows, and my sceneries are linked from its own SSD using Add-On Linker. I have not tried moving all my scenery onto the NVMe Drive with the sim but unsure that would help. The stutters occur both on SU14, and SU15 Beta. Things I have tried with no success over the last 2 months to stop the final approach stuttering include but are not limited to: Turning off frame gen Locking frames at 60,50,45…makes no difference. Flying offline (Not on VATSIM) makes no difference. Trying DSR Factor scaling with DLSS. Downscaling the image using Render Scaling. Turning down TLOD and OLOD to 10. Run with rolling cache (I usually have rolling cache off) Disabling all aircraft effects like tire smoke Capping frames using Riva Statistics Tuner Turning off GSYNC and using Scanline Sync Tried using AUTOFPS / Dynamic LOD Cleared Shader Cache Many Times Many more things I am not thinking of. Visually the stutters seem to coincide with scenery popping when I am in the final 200-300 ft of the approach, when taxi-way signs and fences begin to pop in, it seems like the stutters are synchronous with the scenery popping in at this critical phase of flight. Any help is appreciated with this matter since it’s really made me not want to invest the time in doing any flights knowing that the final approach is going to be ruined by stutters while the first 99% of the flight is perfectly smooth. Thanks!
  19. Hi Andy, I have the call sign checked to airline. I may try to reinstall it and see if anything changes. Thanks, Adam
  20. Just installed VOX 6.34 successfully. Everything seems to be working fine except I have no option to select a First Officer to operate the comms for me. I double checked to make sure the "FO Available" box is ticked in the VOX settings and I still can't seem to get the FO available in the sim. Anybody else having the issue or know of a solution? Thanks, Adam
  21. Awesome... Just another quick note for anybody else going through the issue. You must disable virtual FSX in the P3D Migration tool in order for VOX ATC to get access to the .FLT files. If you have Virtual FSX enables Vox will crash due to fatal error in FSX. - Adam
  22. Also I was able to get a fully functioning flight even without setting the loaded flight to the default flight in P3D. I would be interested in the .exe file you have to convert the fxml files so I don't even have to run FSX. I will PM you. Thanks, Adam
  23. IT WORKS! Thank you so much for the help! I uninstalled and reinstalled making sure the simconnect from P3D was installed. Went ahead and created and saved the flight I wanted in my already installed FSX...then ported the files to the P3DV2 folder. I loaded it as the default flight, restarted P3D and it works perfect! I even have the First Officer option working. Can't wait to start flying regularly with it in P3D while we wait for the official patch. Thanks again, Adam
  24. Thank you for the help! I do have the Estonia Migration Tool And I do have a working version of FSX....However I did delete my VOX off my FSX installation...but it seems like that doesn't matter. - Adam
  25. Just made the transition to P3D V2.1 today. Very sad that I can't have a working version of VOX as it is an integral part of all my flying. I followed this thread and tried to do the above fixes. I have the same issue...No copilot option and it assumes I am doing a local VFR flight everytime. When you reinstalled did you do so with the migrator tool? And can you give a better description of what you are doing to the .fmxl files and the sequencing of what needs to be done when and where? Thank you so much for any help you can provide. - Adam
