Hey everyone, i just joined the VATSIM network but im a little uncomfortable as i am not familiar with the proper ATC protocalls. So i was wondering if anyone here knows of a program that will focus on just ATC communication as in ad-don for FS2004 Or anything at all really that will assist me in bettering my ATC communication skills B)

1.}Radio Check

2.} Taxi

3,] ILS Aproach

4.] Landing ect ect

There are some very good tutorials at Vatsim, depending on the area you fly in, VatUSA also has some good tutorials to help you, look here: http://www.vatsim.net/prc/prc-genlession/

 

As for add ons in FS2004, look at Radar Contact 4 and programs like that, or MCE which is a virtual copilot that can interact with RC4 or default FS2004 ATC as well.

 

If you intend to fly mostly Vatsim, then I recommend their tutorials, and put "new user" in the comments of your flight plan and you will get help and guidance from controllers.
