Spanning FSX will not hold setting over 3 screens

Featured Replies

Hello

When spanning FSX over three screens in 'windowed mode' it will do it no problem after initially pulling the FSX window over the screens but ... as soon as I close the sim and then go back to fly on another occasion it is back to just the one screen.

Once again I have to go through the same procedure as above to get it spanned over the screens.

So ... for some reason it is not remembering/holding the settings

I am running the NVidia GTX 670 4Gb card using the latest NVidia driver ... Windows 7 (64 Bit) and three NEC EA243 monitors with a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 (5760x1200) over 3 screens

Everything is fine in full screen mode but I need to fly in windowed mode because I use FS commander

Would really appreciate any pointers/answers to my problem

Thanks in advance

Paul

There is nothing you can do about that if you are running in window mode. The only way to get it to remember your monitor set-up settings is to run in full screen.

You can try the little app called 'FSX Borderless / P3D Borderless' (depending on which platform you use). With the simple hotkey of pressing ALT+ENTER twice it will change from a single display window mode to a simulated full screen across three displays and back again.

It worked great for me when I was using FSX - moved on to P3D. Can't remember where I got it. Maybe AVSIM library?

Hi everyone

Apologisesfor taking a while to respond ...

Thank you for your feedback ....

i managed to sort it by performing a 'system restore' which sorted things out

It now remembers to span over the three screens in windowed mode ......

All I can think is something got corrupted

Thanks again
