November 14, 201213 yr I usually fly the default Cessna 172 but recently started flying the default Maul in Alaska scenery. In the Cessna, the switches on my GoFlight GF-TS will control the panel, nav, beacon, strobe and landing lights individually. However, in the Maul the lights all come on and go off with the landing light switch. The aircraft.cfg files appear to be similar regarding the light switches. Can anyone offer any suggestions for getting the switches to work the same on the Maul as they do on the Cessna. AMD 3800X, Gigabyte Radeon 5700XT, AS Rock X570 Phantom Gaming 4, 32mb 3600 ram
November 14, 201213 yr In the [lights] section of your aircrft.cfg, what's the first number after the "lights.XX="? Does it always read 5(at least I believe 5 was for landing lights)? If so, you'll have to consider, what lights they should actually be, and change the numbers accordingly. (1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing, I couldn't find the others rigth now, but those should be the most important, anyways). To be honest, that would be quite strange that those entries were changed, even if you installed A2A's Shockwave lights, and thus I consider it very unlikely, but nothing else comes to my mind. November 15, 201213 yr Author While preparing a reply I noticed a difference in the files. I'll try to change the files to match and get back to you with the results. Thanks for replying. AMD 3800X, Gigabyte Radeon 5700XT, AS Rock X570 Phantom Gaming 4, 32mb 3600 ram
November 15, 201213 yr Author OE-LOT When I looked at the files to reply to your original post I noticed the lights for the Maul in the config file had been remmed out with //. I removed the // in front of the lines and the lights seem to work almost correctly. Each switch turns on the respective light and the landing light switch turns them all on. I can live with that. Thanks for making me take a second look. AMD 3800X, Gigabyte Radeon 5700XT, AS Rock X570 Phantom Gaming 4, 32mb 3600 ram
November 16, 201213 yr Glad you could sort it out. It just seems a little strange to me, that the lines were set into comments.I'd really be interested how that can happen. Anyways, it's great that the lights work again. The landing lights thing seems a bit odd, to me, too, but on the other hand, as long as all can be switched on/off seperately, it shouldn't be too much of a problem, because as soon as you take off, you switch them lights on anyway, and I can't remember going above 10K with the Maule too often, either(Just once in the Denali mission). Happy flying Flo Florian
