EHAM scenery showing wrong taxiway signs!!! Help!

Featured Replies

Hello Gang!My EHAM airport shows taxiway signs to runway 1L, 1C, and 1R instead of 36L, 36C, and 36R. Has anyone figured this out yet? It appears that this is another airport that may have changed runway numbers recently and the scenery in 2004 has not been updated (taxiway signs, that is), to reflect the change.Any help is appreciated.Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

I guess unless one is familiar with the airport, this observation would go.......well.....unobserved!Ideas? Sure....wait for FS10 or FS2006, whatever.....and its bound to be rectified. But then, without any reservations at all, I predict another faux or two within that version which will aggravate a simmer or three!

Hi,I've remarked this before. But it doesn't ennoy me. If the tower gives me a clearance for 36 I know they mean 01. By the way: the heading is correct; 005. So I would say 36 is as good as 01. Okay in real life eham has only a 01.You might correct this with AFCAD?! You can change the numbers of the runways...Herman LeusmanEHGG

another message,I just looked for it. The signs and the towerinstructions say "36". AFCAD on EHAM says runway "01"..anybody else?Herman

Quite simple, the runway numbering at Schiphol was changed in september 2003.The codebase for FS2004 was closed in early 2003 (April I think for the last scenery data updates) which was well before that.As a result the Schiphol you see in FS2004 is the Schiphol as it was in April 2003 when the new runway was still under construction and therefore not included. If you have Marcel Ritzema's update which puts in the new runway that one does NOT change the taxiway signs. You'll get 36L, 01L and 01R runways and the reciprocal 18R, 19R and 19L.
