Red or blue digits in MCP and radio

Featured Replies

I allways thought I had dl'ed and installed SP1c but I read some posts here about the color of the digits on the MCP and radio, the color giving the version away.

I have blue/white digits on my MCP and red on my radio? Does that tell some of you anything about my version?

Yeah, I know, I could just install it but my rig is working so well now and I will not mess with it if I dont "have to".

Thanks for any advice,

Morten Steen

Isn't that depending on whether you have the Collins or Honeywell MCP installed via the MCDU? I don't think it has anything to with version number.

Hm, ok, thanks, it might be, I tried relocating the post I read about this, but I could easily have dreamt the whole thing :) Seriously bitten by the bug these days after a year or more break :)

Do you by any chance know if there is a file(version) of some sort I could check? I bought the mega captains package with bells and whistles but nothing in there says anything about a version check.

Feels kind of stupid to bother the PMDG guys with trivial stuff these days ;)

SP1C did introduce a change to the background lighting colours of LCDs to better match real life. I forget the exact change but it affected the radio tuning heads as well, so you'd notice it whichever autopilot you had.

Thanks Kev, I'll investigate some more.
