Okay here's what I did I created a ROUTE using FSNAV-exported in ROUTE using the PMDG module

I then open up the route through the FMC I have set fuel weight flaps settings well pretty much everything that was required to be set within the FMC

The problem is, after spending 2 1/2 hours trying to learn the FMC then programming it and setting it up property I feel as if I'm doing something wrong when I kick in the autopilot the plane goes another way it refuses to follow the route what am I doing wrong please help

Here is what i have done

Did you set the correct runway for departure and also is your first way point the first point on the route? After takeoff, press the LNAV button and your autopilot should be on. Also, you should press POS INIT not ROUTE and follow the pages through. Then go through to the ROUTE and enter a route.

Hope this helps.

You should also check, once entering your vspeeds, that the flight plan on the FMC has the automatic speeds and altitudes listed for each waypoint. Once you take off, press CMD (after pressing on lnav and vnav). You may have to manually set your heading to intercept the flight path. Once the plane approaches the selected path, lnav should then activate and follow the flight plan.
