December 3, 201213 yr Author Sadly I can't see there will be a relaxation of rules, the Lightning is in the complex category, because it's well, complex. What we need is a multi-billionaire to step in so that the maintenance schedules could be met. I'm not sure though that even then it would be allowed to fly. UK airspace today is a nightmare, so I can imagine all sorts of problems operating a Lightning. I think though it is a wish shared by very many people, I really regret that I did not take the opportunity to get to Thunder City just once in my life, it was certainly very high on my list of aviation things to do. As I understand it they are no longer operational?
