Aeroworx B200 purchase/installation

Featured Replies

I am impressed by the comments about this aircraft and am considering purchasing it. Can anyone tell me if I have to get a key on registration which locks the software to my hard disk in some way? Please do not start a war about this as I know that it is a contentious subject. Just accept that there are plenty of honest people around who just don't want to have to do this.Thank you.David

I don't know if the key locks the software to your system configuration. I think it does not. After installation you must register the product before the EFIS will work. During registration (which happens within the sim) you're asked to insert into the proper fields your name, e-mail addy, and registration number (which is sent to you when you purchase the package).I was one of the early buyers and got mine before their original server was beaten into submission by buyer demand, so I suffered none of the early problems that some folks experienced buying and installing. I've spent quite a bit of time lurking at both the FFS and Aeroworx forums, and both parties seem quite cordial and willing to help. I've had no preblems whatsoever, so I can't speak of how the support is when the going gets tough. Clearly, they are much easier to work with than some GA vendors out there.I'm flying the bird alot, and this is my current desktop:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/85152.jpgHope this helps,Greg

I done had to do the same a Soarpics but i bought mine on CD.. but the setup it the same you install and then it asks for key email and name but they send you the key and staff very quick.I did find that when i first put in my key it would not register but that is because i should have exited fs then went back into it faily simple and i didnt need help from areoworxs..All in all i am very happy with the B200 my first ever turboprop :)Just wish there were more aussie paints of it.:)O another thing the VC is awesome everythingle thing is clickable and i mean everything :) and the wipers work as well.

David... you can d/l the POH here (install instructions included within): http://www.flightfactory-simulations.com/awB200_buy.phpLike Ben, I wish there were a few more repaints. Seems most of them are military variants. I tried doing a simple repaint (using the repaint kit) but several hours of frustration put me back into the cockpit. :-) Greg

>>Just wish there were more aussie paints of it.Ben, I've done an RFDS repaint, in case you haven't seen it yet at Avsim's library...

How do I get to the Aeroworx forum? Is that on the Aeroworx site?

Thanks for the link, however for those on dial-up be advised that the POH is 29Mb, not 10Mb as indicated on the site.Cheers,Alastair

Greg:A question about your post which has nothing to do with the aircraft. What format or procedure did you use to add your "current desktop" image? The reason I ask, is there are a few images which show up on my screen as little blue boxes with a red X inside, and I cannot retrieve them. I thought maybe if I could find out exactly how they are originated, I might find the solution. Thanks:RTH

On this forum I think the problem you mention is caused by the fact that Avsim only keeps images on it's server for two weeks (I think that's the time period). Which makes sense... for them to keep all images (and /or attachments) indefinately would use up HD space at a terrifying rate. So, what you're seeing more often than not is a broken link. But to answer your question... it was a simply .jpg image. Shot it with FSScreen (.bmp) and then resized and saved in .jpg format. Here it is again (saved at a smaller size):http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/90526.jpgHope this helps,Greg

As far as I know, the B200 now uses the Flight1 wrapper, which makes registration a thing of the past.Great aircraft.

does it I just got the CD sent to me I prefer a hard copy when i can get it.
