November 21, 201213 yr Hi all, Anyone got a tip for which tool to use in Photoshop to get a chipped paint effect? I have a matt black anti-glare panel over a metal background, I want to sort of 'chip' through it in places to show the bare metal underneath. The usual tools I would use such as the rubber are not giving me the effect I'm after at all. Thanks for any ideas.

January 2, 201313 yr I rasterize the layer that I want to be chipped, and cut out the chips with the eraser, using lots of different brushes. If the same layer is then copied to the alpha, you get metal shining through. Here are a few examples of the result: All my FSX/P3D repaints are here on Avsim, for my MSFS repaints, go to FS.2
