November 23, 201213 yr Hi there, I am quite new to tweaking the FSX.cfg. As I have done quite a bit of tweaking this week and not really seen an improvement in performance I am going to follow some parts from Word Not Allowed's Software & Hardware Guide for FSX. It first says I must start with a clean FSX.cfg by deleting the CFG. My question is, will all my addons be lost? or does FSX regenerate the cfg around the installed addons? Regards, Ciaran
November 23, 201213 yr It will not affect addons. In some cases, FSX will prompt you to accept certain add ons when you start FSX after deleting the cfg but you will not lose anythin. Mario Di Lauro

November 23, 201213 yr First you should back up your existing config file before deleting it. Next time you start FSX, it will generate a new one with default values. Don't worry about your add-ons. FSX will prompt you to trust them again when they are next loaded. You will not have to re-install them. Alternatively, you can copy over the trusted modules section of your old config file.
