54,600 knots!

Featured Replies

I was flying on Vatsim today with a buddy, he had just intercepted the loc for CYHZ rny 23, when suddenly, he was out over water, with an indicated airspeed of 54,600 knots!! He was flying the QW757. Anybody else have this issue?

The military won't like this. :P Or maybe they do? :Raised Eyebrow:

That vataware reading is strange. Could it be that he has used the slew mode or something? I can get that in top down view and zooming out a bit. Don't tell anybody.

The fastest I've ever been in slew mode is 40000 knots at 1X speed. Hmmm...

Nope, he was on autopilot, making a heading change to intercept, when it did this....

He was probably slewing across the ocean, or perhaps using 16x time accelleration (although 16 * 500 knots = 8000 knots). Or perhaps it was some kind of bug in the system

Hahahahahahaha lololololololol

He could be at 128X speed going a little slower (128 * 500 = 64000) or slewing at around 27000 knots at 2X speed. Not really sure
