Display problems after accessing menus on j-41

Featured Replies

Hello fellow PMDG pilots. I am having a problems with the display on the J-41 only after accessing any of FSX's menus. My system was just built:

I7 processor

16 GB Ram

OS drive and FS on separate disks

FSX w/ acceleration pack installed

GeForce GT 640 with updated drivers from NVIDIA

This was a clean install, all win 7 patches installed. No Add-on other the Carendo B200

All default everything else in FSX.

All function on the J41 work until I hit Alt and access any of the menus. When I click OK to go back to the plane, I get the scenery without any buildings and no cockpit is displayed. A few times the screen was flashing, kind of like the resolution was set too high. I just ran a hour flight with no problems. After shutdown at the gate, I went into the fuel menu to refuel and the problem happened. The only way to fix it to kill FSX and restart

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Oh I forgot to mention this did not happen to any of the default FSX aircraft.

I was about to say the same, and then I remembered it's just called TURBOPROPS. You'd figure someone would figure it out, but there are also WARNING: HOT! labels on coffee now, so...haha.
