November 25, 201213 yr Finally had time to take this thing out for a spin (and I will invariably find something else that needs to be fixed (I hate when that happens)), so here goes a morning flight from Las Vegas to Chicago. This Citation was seen parked....somewhere on the west side of the airport. After some pre-flight checks and getting this plane ready to go, the one passenger has boarded. Engines were started not too long after. Now I don't know who towed this plane here, but hopefully the jet blast doesn't take out the glass doors. Starting the take-off from runway 19 left. I'm not used to taking off from here, as I'm normally coming out of 25 right. Gear up with the Las Vegas strip in sight and a Southwest 737 landing on 19 right. A look out over the right wing as the passenger is watching something on the screen, operating a laptop, and a phone all at the same time. In other news in the New York Times, the volcanic ash in Iceland has disrupted flights all over Europe. 688 miles an hour? Damn. I had no idea this thing could go that fast. On final for 32 right at O'Hare. Touchdown runway 32 right at O'Hare, concluding a flight that lasted 2 hours 43 minutes. Taxiing along as a company 757 heads out back to the East Coast. Shut down at the ramp. Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off. Live streams of my flights here.
November 26, 201213 yr Nice shots. Good luck with the rest of it. I just retired mine today. I did not enjoy this plane as much as I thought. VC was not that polished plus support is now iffy with the actual coder gone to pursue other interests. Vu Pham i7-13700K 5.2 GHz OC, 64 GB RAM, RTX5090, SSD for Sim, SSD for system. November 26, 201213 yr Author Yeah, I ended up getting 2.0 to replace the 1.0 I had because the 1.0 didn't have a functioning FMC. It's weird trying to fly with the default GPS when you've gotten used to flying with an FMC. Took me nearly all of Thursday to paint mostly because of paint kit texture alignment issues. As for support, I posted once asking a question because I noticed something abnormal and wanted to see if it was intentional. Response I got was along the line of "Congrats, you found some bugs, but I won't fix it because I'm far too busy in life." I can understand being busy in life, but was the sarcasm necessary? All I did was ask a simple question. Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off. Live streams of my flights here.
