PSS Airbuses merge

Featured Replies

Hi friends, surely it has been asked many times before.... sorry! Can anyone please explain what to do for merging both PSS products: PSS A320 with iFDG 319-320-321 and PSS A330 with POSky?Thanks in advance for helpingcheersLuigi ;-)

LuigiCount down about 15 topics and you will find a thread about merging the PSSA320 panel with the IFDG models, which should get you going help. I plan to try that merge myself tonight.

You do not need to merge anything, everything, including the FMC works fine, in fact the FD is a bit better than the PSS one.Just alias the panels and sound in the usual way.CheersDan.

for the iFDG a319 and a321, nothing is needed, just put the PSS panel and the sound in the 319 or 321 folder!for the iFDG a320, and the POSKYA330, more work is needed, and I forget how....sorry!

While I was successful in getting the POSKY A330 to use the PSS panel, what shows up is the A340 panel with 4 engine indications, not the A330 with 2 engine indications. If anyone has been successful at getting the right indications to show up I'd be most appreciative if they elaborated on how to do it. I thought it may be an air file ident or something, but that is not the case. Perhaps the panel is looking at the mdl?

Thanks Dan,Thats a much easier approach. So an entry like this alias=PSSab-prosound.cfm in say the Sound.CFG file will do it right?

Yeah, do the same for the panel too, that way you keep the very good FD from iFDG intact.I have been flying the A319 extensivly using this very technique, and everything is spot-on, it performs like a real dream ;)The only thing you will lose is the loadeditor, but thats not a real issue for me.CheersDan.

Actually, you need to use the merge in the other thread for the 319 and 321 or you get very strange engine readings, like in the red a lot.Lee

err...no you don't :-lol, you only get red EGT readings on the A320, and in that case all you need is a very, very small air file mod.The iFDG A319 and A321 work perfectly without the merge.Dan.

>Hi friends,>surely it has been asked many times before.... sorry!so why don't you use the search function?

>Actually, you need to use the merge in the other thread for>the 319 and 321 or you get very strange engine readings, like>in the red a lot.Hi Lee,i have found that thread. Now what i ask is: and iFDG A320 and POSky A330? Do i have to edit also those mergings?Thank you all for kind inputsLuigi ;-)

use the search function, this has been asked a thousand times over the years. You can NOT put the PSS 320 panel in the POSKY 330, the weight and ballance are just too different.

Luigi, definately the A330 panel with the A330 only. It's the best way.I do get red egt temps on the A321 without doing a merge, the merge cured those problems.Lee
