December 4, 201213 yr nice! DCS is an amazing sim and well optimized for todays hardware, I love it! :drinks: ..........hey JCOMM, it looked like you in the cockpit when I was watching the video
December 4, 201213 yr Author Eheh... I don't think I could stand so many Gs at my age / physical shape :-) Yes, I am really enjoying it, and it's fresh air after all this months, starting with my 1st new love of the year 2012 - MS FLIGHT... :-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
December 19, 201213 yr Jcomm in love........ again. Are you still keeping up with Xplane? We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. December 19, 201213 yr Author Are you still keeping up with Xplane? Nope! I would gladly sell it - I don't believe the subjects that caused my dislike regarding x-plane10 will be taken care of during the 10 series :-( I consider X-Plane10 as my worst investment - just as it was when I bought XP8 - that's the painful true :-( The same happens with fsx, and AeroflyFS, although the future of AeroflyFS may be promising.... and FSX is still a much better civil simulation platform than any other civil sim I know about... including MS FLIGHT for the reasons we all know :-( With DCS I have the level of detail, sophistication, etc... that I really want to find in a flight simulator (just as I did with Aerowinx PS1 for the smulation of a b744). For my virtual soaring I am still using (went back to...) the excellent Silent Wings soaring sim, until DCS get's a flyable glider :-) and a weather model that turns soaring possible ;-) A year ago, still away from flight simulation during my 4 yr blackout, I could never tell I would be using a combat flightsim... Even if I seldom use it for combat (and anyway even if I do I can't keep airborne more than a couple of minutes :-)) the quality of the flight and overall physics and systems modelling in DCS p51d and BS2 are simple superb! an keep me busy just doing sight seeing flights from base to base, or just circuits under different configurations / weather scenarios ...
