December 15, 201213 yr I'm trying to find some guidance on use of the two fuel tanks in the C337. Today I was flying and both my levers were set on red (front and rear fuel off)... but I was drawing fuel from the front tank. The rear tank was half full but no fuel was being drawn from it. The worst part is if I'm on the green or yellow selections, and I turn ON fuel pumps to HI, then switch between the yellow and green (passing through the red), my engines still dies. Shouldn't the pump supply the pressure in the line while you switch from yellow to red zones? December 15, 201213 yr Odd problem, one I've never had with the C337. First of all, you should always select the fuel tanks before starting the engines. The plane probably comes up in a different state than what the fuel selectors indicate. Usually I see fuel selectors set to "all" (according to the tool tip) in various aircraft, no matter what the switch says. Also, the tanks are in the left and right wing. The fuel selectors are a bit odd anyway. If you're switching tanks, do it quickly and the engine shouldn't die. Also, follow the instructions from the checklist or read what the fuel selector says and go from there. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
